Dawn E. Shedrick, LCSW

Weaving my extensive experiences across social work, mental health practice, training, nonprofit management, adult education, and holistic healing, I help professionals develop skills to create meaningful change.

I have designed and delivered in-person and online professional development experiences, continuing education events, and corporate wellness seminars for organizations and professionals across the U.S., Canada, China, Tanzania, and Puerto Rico.

For many years I lectured at the Columbia University School of Social Work where I was an inaugural recipient of the Steven P. Schinke Teaching Innovation Award. My fascination with adult learning and leadership development led me to Teachers College, Columbia University where I am a doctoral candidate studying Adult Learning and Leadership with the world’s premier scholars in the field.

At JenTex I have gathered a solid team of consultants and trainers who, first, believe in my vision for workplaces where helping professionals can thrive and, second, are dynamic learning and development professionals who inspire me and our clients to be our very best.

When not working, I enjoy spending time near the ocean; knitting; crocheting; traveling; reading/listening to audiobooks; watching true crime shows and RuPaul’s Drag Race with my partner and my Yorkies (yes, they watch TV with me); and laughing with loved ones.

Our Continuing Education Authorizations

New York State Licensed Social Workers

JenTex Training & Consulting, LLC is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0136.

Mental Health Counselors and Professional Counselors in the U.S.

JenTex Training & Consulting, LLC is preparing an application to become a continuing education provider of the National Board of Certified Counselors. We will update this page once we receive a decision.

Licensed Social Workers in All U.S. States (except NY, see above) and most Canadian Provinces

JenTex Training & Consulting, LLC, provider #1441, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org, through the Approved Continuing Education ACE) program. JenTex Training & Consulting, LLC maintains responsibility for the program. ASWB Approval Period: 2/28/2023 – 2/28/2026. Social workers should contact their regulatory board to determine course approval.

Certified Case Managers (CCM)

JenTex Training & Consulting, LLC is approved as a provider for Certified Case Manager (CCM) continuing education by the Pre-Approved Continuing Education (PACE) through the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC).
